The Kerrville 2050 Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee met on May 23 to discuss the implementation portion of the plan. The detailed strategy has been laid out in a matrix format that is divided by planning topic—Land Use, Economic Development, Housing, Community and Neighborhood Character/Placemaking, Mobility, Water/Wastewater/Drainage, Public Facilities and Services, Parks/Open Space/River Corridor, and Downtown Revitalization. Guiding Principles have been developed for each topic, and Action Items are listed under each Guiding Principle. For each Action Item, there is an indication of several relevant characteristics which will help ensure accountability for implementing the plan—Responsible Parties, Timing, Relative Public Sector Cost, Strategic Catalyst Areas (Impacted), and (Community) Priority Addressed. There was a high degree of agreement on the overall strategy, but the Committee asked for a few additional Action Items.
